A Message from Industrial Independent School District

Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction

Cara Cooke

Industrial ISD has high expectations for all students. Due to these expectations, IISD offers a broad selection of academic courses which are aligned through a district-developed scope and sequence based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) which serve to address the needs of every classroom learner. Students have the opportunity to enroll in classes that challenge them, prepare them for college, award them college credit, and/or prepare them for the work force. In addition, through the use of technology, the IISD students are equipped with the foundation that will enable them to access, analyze, and utilize information to become life-long learners.

The development of the learner as a whole is further enhanced by the strong involvement of students in extra curricular activities which may take us from the Ag building, to the football field, to the court, to the stage, and beyond. Team work builds character, and IISD students pride themselves in giving their very best both academically as well as when involved in extra curricular activities.

I encourage you to visit our schools and to witness the tremendous job of both students and staff as they work together. Their commitment to learning and excellence is to be commended.
